It’s 8:45 PM on a Saturday and the doors are locked, even though closing time is 10 PM. What’s going on? Did I miss something?

I visited this place for some ice cream one evening, as they typically have pretty good offerings. While we were waiting in line to be served, I couldn't help but notice the employee who was assisting the customers in front of us. I was shocked to see that his long hair was getting into the ice cream as he leaned over to serve it to the children ahead of us. He struggled to keep his hair back, but it just wouldn’t cooperate, and he wasn’t wearing a hairnet or anything to hold it in place. I’m not exaggerating—his hair was actually dipping into the ice cream while he was reaching down to get it! This completely killed my appetite, and I chose to leave and find ice cream elsewhere.

Yesterday, August 27th, I met an acquaintance at the San Angelo Marble Slab for some ice cream. This was my third visit since moving here, and I had enjoyed the previous two experiences. Unfortunately, yesterday was a bit disappointing. Several ice cream flavors were unavailable, and I was hoping for a Banana Split, but there were no bananas. Additionally, none of the three employees were wearing safety gloves, and it was clear their hands were coming into contact with the ice cream. I noticed that they were also handling money. To top it off, the cones were stale. Despite these issues, I still really enjoy your ice cream and plan to return in the future. However, I believe these concerns should be addressed. Thank you.

I’m not going to lie I was a little afraid of the bad reviews as we don’t always go out for ice cream and I wanted this to be special for my son. However, everything was excellent! Staff was very friendly and patient (I’ve never been here and having two small kiddos choose takes time). The place really could use a good deep cleaning but the ice cream was absolutely on point ! I honestly think it was my favorite Ice cream ever (it was a pecan blend one). Overall 5 stars just needs a deep clean.
