The food and service was great. When we first arrived the hostess tried to seat us at a table next to where the staff sorted silverware, no tablecloth, and near the front door (it was in the 40’s). We requested a different table and they obliged, this time with a tablecloth and near the wood burning oven. The food was heavenly. We would definitely go back.
Excellent food, excellent restaurant. I will come back often, can't believe this was our first time here.
This is a classic restaurant in san francisco, in which it is unpretentious, but consistently in service and menus that emphasize wood burning of meat and craft brot. my wife and I love the particular thing that is served with landbrot that is dipped in drips and served with johannisbeer. the service was great and the wine selection was diverse.
He's got two and utter. can't be better than that somewhere! the personal is friendly and extremely competent. loves the interior. the whole experience is California perfect!
