Taste on Ellis - San Andreas

Loooong wait for drinks, wait staff blamed bar backup, but there was nobody (nobody) at the bar and only a few other diners in the restaurant. Beautiful ambience and some of the items we ordered were wonderful (hot stone steak) while others were way off (mahi mahi very dry and over spicy inconsistent, as I had the mahi mahi before and it was also dry, but spiced nicely). Overall too long a wait, poor service (may have been new but others should have helped out if so) and just so-so food

Excellent service. Interesting menu, though wouldn’t do brunch again— thinking dinner and lunch are more interesting and true to the “Spanish meets Hawaiian” cuisine. Plating choices were odd— large dishes that overflowed off of plate and onto table made it difficult to eat and fully enjoy— restaurant might want to reconsider (I specifically had the short rib hash)

My friend and I had an exceptional meal, sharing small plates and one large plate. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. Our waiter was very helpful with putting together our choices. (I think his name was JC). Would not hesitate to dine here again

I was disappointed that our servers didn’t inform us about the bar closing. Love the food. Wagyu beef was awesome. Salmon was fantastic..overall food was good

The restaurant was quiet on a Friday night, we only saw another tables through out the night. The food was inventive, fresh ingredients and delicious! Limited vegetarian options, though the chef managed to swap out some of the proteins for tofu to cater for Vegetarians. The cocktails were delicious and inventive! We were celebrating a birthday, and the restaurant came out with candles on a cake and took all desserts off the final check
