Contribuiți la feedbackWow o wow. So I've been wanting to come here since they opened. I came early so I got coffee from Jane's bakery and chill in the car for 30 min. So yelp state they open at 12noon. So we got there at 12:02pm. As we open the door seeing the sign said open the lady came running out and said sorry we open at 12 and close the door on us. I was like 12? Umm it's 12:05p. So we waited outside the window. After about 15 min past 12 noon it was a disappointing failure. It was suppose to be my birthday lunch too. So sad. It's all good. I definitely won't be coming back at all. Lots of places that has good quality wagyu beef for hot pot like in inner Richmond Mokuku on Clement between 4th Ave and 5th Ave. Anyway. I wish others better luck than I did. Only recommendation is don't come here for any occasions in case you get disappointed. Good luck to this business
Went to celebrate a friend's birthday and the staff was nice but thats all it was. I was expecting to pay for food and the experience since it is one of the only places in SF that has A5 Japanese Wagyu. We have been to many shabu places around the city and we were somewhat disappointed with this choice. The food was amazing but when it came to customer service it was lack luster. Maybe it was just our table but the staff seemed to be more accommodating to table behind us. They gave them directions on what to do and how to eat certain things but for us they just left the items on our table and hardly checked up on us. I was afraid that this was going to happen because I read yelp reviews about the service. I was really hoping that it was just a few bad reviews of customers that didn't really understand the Japanese dining experience but unfortunately they were right. When it came to even trying to make the birthday boy's day special they simply said happy birthday when they sat us and that was just it and we were treated like normal customers for the rest of our dining experience.
The logistics of how each meal set is done is terrible and they don't use visual common sense. If you have four guests, the meal set only covers for two and they don't even try to cover all four people (sides like the appetiser and rice is all shared between portions given to two guests) but they really live to pile on the dish ware on you. It's just not worth the price for what you're getting and the experience that comes with it. Don't even bother saying any occasion because they don't remotely do or ask anything about it. Maybe it's fine just between two people but forget bring more than two guests here.
My family and I went there on Friday evening and it was our first time. We had Shabu Shabu and it was very good. We all loved it. Definitely we will be back.
Shabu shabu was decent but overpriced. AVOID THE SUKIYAKI AT ALL COSTS. For whatever reason, they put a whole ball of cotton candy (yes, you read that right) on top so the whole thing melted into the broth. Needless to say, it was sweet af. When I complained to the waitress, her solution was to pour water into the broth. At $50 a person, I expected better. Good luck if you're diabetic.
