Contribuiți la feedbackI went to this restaurant with my friends and had a great time. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The only downside was that the portion size of the fried chicken and waffle was quite small - just a tiny drumstick/thigh piece and 2 waffles. It wasn't very filling for us guys, but luckily we ordered other dishes as well. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a brunch spot that's not too crowded. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit (due to the long driving distance). The orange mimosa was definitely better than the pineapple mimosa. Bottomless mimosas are $14, or $7 for a single glass.
The restaurant is conveniently located with ample parking, a comfortable and relaxed outdoor patio. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back.
I read a review about Red Card Cafe on a San Diego blog and decided to try it out since it was only 10 minutes away. I was pleasantly surprised! My sister and I shared the shrimp ceviche, which was amazing. It was full of flavor, with a generous amount of lime juice and cilantro. I ordered the Cobb salad, which may seem simple, but it was one of the best salads I've had at a restaurant. The homemade buttermilk Chipotle dressing tied everything together perfectly. My sister ordered the jerk chicken sandwich, which was delicious with grilled pineapple, slaw, and goat cheese. On our second visit, we had the ceviche and Cobb salad again, while my sister tried the TJ dogs and Mexican corn. She loved both, especially the sweet corn with tasty toppings. The hot dogs were unique and filling. We enjoyed Red Card so much that I took my husband to brunch there. We almost stayed for bottomless mimosas, but decided against it. I had the fried chicken and waffles, which had a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. My husband enjoyed the chorizo scramble with apples, calling it a mix of Benedict and hash. Overall, we love Red Card! It's a hidden gem in Bay Ho with a great selection of beers on tap that shouldn't be missed.
We had heard good things and wanted to try them out. Must be better for lunch because dinner was weird. Hardly anyone was there and it was situated in a business park type of area. Food was just so-so.
What a gem! The food was fantastic and the space was very cool! The jerk chicken sandwich and the Southwest Cobb chicken salad were perfect and the shrimp ceviche did not disappoint. We went for a week day lunch, but I can't wait to return for brunch.
