Contribuiți la feedbackThe food was fantastic, but we were disappointed with the service. Unlike other tables who were given bread while waiting for their orders, we were not. The waiter who took our order was impolite. Overall, the food was a 5 out of 5.
If I had passed by this restaurant without any recommendations, I likely would not have entered. However, looks can be deceiving, as the pizza and pasta turned out to be delicious.
This restaurant is a pleasant spot to dine near Lombard Street. The prices are reasonable and the food is generally excellent. While I didn't love the food, it was satisfying and fulfilling. The four cheese ravioli wasn't very cheesy, but the tomato sauce was delicious. The margherita pizza lacked strong flavor, suggesting it needed higher quality cheese. Overall, I would rate the food a 7 out of 10. The service was great and the highlight was the complimentary bread.
Great food. Not so great service.I guess we arrived during a very busy window (Monday dinner 7:00). Or we just had bad luck with our waiter. From the get go he disliked us: shaking his head at each of our menu picking, consistently slamming plates on the table, refusing to turn on the outdoor heater. Or like any human being he was just having a bad day.Except he would constantly stop and happily chat with a group of French patrons on the table beside us.Yeah, I guess just didn’t like my family for some reason.BTW: we never pulled a Karen, never asked to speak with the manager, and we were smiles and polite till the check came in.So I tipped 5% as probably they will never read this review, or try to improve their operation. All in all, it’s a shame as we’ve flown 4 hours to be in SF, with high expectations after reading these raving reviews.Great food, thoughVegetarian options: There are a varied selection of salads and plenty of vegetarian/vegan options in the menu
Waiter disliked us from get-go: shook his head at our picks, slammed plates at table refused to turn on outdoor heater. But often chatted happily with other patrons. We were polite, but tipped 5%.
