Noren Izakaya - San Andreas

As we were walking back to our hotel, not even feeling hungry, we caught a whiff of the delicious aromas from a kitchen grill on the street. The enticing scent lured us in, and we ended up stopping by for a couple of drinks and some small bites. It was all incredible.

We were in search of a place to eat in North Beach on a Saturday night when we stumbled upon Noren. The enticing smell of grilling food caught our attention, prompting us to take a look at the menu. Luckily, we were able to snag seats at the bar. My boyfriend was absolutely thrilled with Noren and hasn't stopped raving about it since. He is typically not easily impressed when it comes to food and has very specific tastes, so it's a big deal that he keeps mentioning the delicious mushroom skewers. The staff at Noren were fantastic - attentive, friendly, and helpful. We definitely plan on returning!

Amazing! I really enjoyed the mix of familiar and unique options on the Izakaya menu. It's best to order multiples of each dish because everything was delicious, especially the vegetables. The mochi bacon was a pleasant surprise with its great blend of flavors and textures. The skewers were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The small plates were outstanding as well. Make sure to try the chicken skin, which is perfect for sharing with the table. The curry beef tongue and truffle salmon are also great options for sharing.

It's my family's favorite place to go for delicious Japanese food. Also, there is an excellent bar.Vegetarian options: Many delicious dishes to select from.Wheelchair accessibility: 100% Wheelchair accessible.

18% MANDATORY SERVICE FEE 2.5% CREDIT CARD FEE added onto our bill, they detail it in fine print on their menu but seems kinda sneaky, don't like it when restaurants try to nickle and dime their customersfood was average/forgettable for the most part, the cocktails were solid and scallop skewers were probably the best of what we orderedour waiter kept aggressively asking if we wanted to order drinks throughout the meal even after we said no, another red flag was asking if we wanted edamame at the end of our initial order but she had phrased it like it would be free...felt like I got scammed on some mediocre food, bill was $100 for two people after getting 8-9 skewers total 1 drink, would avoid this spot and checkout another skewer place.Restaurants are obviously for profit but they manner they conducted business felt misleading and unprofessional, trying to squeeze as much profit out of customers in bad faith is no way to get repeat customers...
