Bombay Exotic Cuisine Of India

While I am not an expert relative to Indian food many competent sources have assured me that this restaurant offers authentic receipts with accurate flavors.

I'll preface this review with the fact that I went on Valentine's Day, so naturally the restaurant was busier than normal. We arrived at our reservation time, 6:30pm, and were brought to the back of the restaurant (the banquet space usually for large parties) which was set up with tables for regular service. It looked very nice, the tables were elaborately set. Our waiter took our drink and food order, both of which were brought out in acceptable time. The food was excellent. However, the restaurant really filled up as we were eating, and by the time we were ready for our check (our plates were empty so we were obviously done), we had to wait about half an hour for our waiter to even come back over to our table. That was kind of disappointing.

It was a great experience like always. The hostess was very accommodating when I preferred to eat in the front instead of the back. Thank you again.

I 've been to Bombay several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. However, on this occasion, it was not a great experience. We were there celebrating Valentine 's Day (night before, Saturday night), so they were obviously busy and we were placed in the back room, which I 'm guessing is usually used for private parties and such. However, even taking into account that it was a busy night, the service was atrocious. Just generally extremely inattentive. I 'm not that hard to please and you would have to be pretty bad to get less than a 20% tip from me...I think I gave 10% on this occasion because I couldn 't justify not docking for the bad service. Just one example: our appetizer was finished and the plate empty for 20 minutes before anyone came back to take our entree order. On our way out, I thought I would at least let the hostess know that it was rough in the back room and she stated, I wish there was something I could do for you. You are not the first person to comment on it. I 'm hoping for a better experience if we decide to go back.

Great ambience and delicious food! A little on the pricier side, but it is worth it because serving sizes are family style and generous enough to share!
