Le Chalet du Mont Roland - Sampans

I booked directly with this hotel. I was quoted a price for two adults in one room with single beds. Instead of being charged the price quoted my husband was charged for a family room and tax for four people. When we contacted the hotel and Jura tourism they did not resolve the matter.

Positive: good restaurant and although a bit chaotic, the waitresses where friendly and alert. Negative: rather arrogant owner ? and son ? who did not care about COVID. Wearing a facemask is obligatory in France, but most of the time they had it hanging around their neck in front of customers. Breakfast buffet overpriced and not at all COVID-proof organised. Rooms are very basic and rather small; during our stay hot water was at a temperature of about 50 C, which is rather dangerous for Legionella type of bacteria. we will never come back to this hotel.

A long wait before the server gets to take our order. We were two people and when we arrived, a table was busy. Over time, the other tables, little by little filled with guests and beers who had to accompany our meal, warm up. all the people who came after us took their orders long before ours since we passed into the leading position. We made the remark to the server that did not appreciate it and we frankly showed it! Sometimes you need to know how to recognize your mistakes, and everyone can win. Not very commercial. Yeah, one for the chef because the meal was good. However, we will not return.

Super reception and restaurant and very good quality

Always perfect, very good reception, an efficient and always smiling team. A good time of table pleasure in a warm environment. In a nice view from the terrace, to do without hesitation, I recommend it.
