Balthazar Cafe and Sandwich Bar

A really nice, informal bar near the old town. maybe not suitable for Friday night young travel, but if you want to drink one or two bierchen once on the afternoon with a nem kumpel. Beautiful bar with a very friendly waiter, delicious cool beer and relaxed bar atmosphere. If I'm in salzburg soon, I'd like to come back here.

Stopped in for drink and light food. Owner told us to try Thai chicken bowl. Homemade with side of special pepper flakes his wife makes. Excellent. Friendly. Easy going place.

A beer from the rain. The bartender (owner? was super nice and suggested an Austrian beer. Very nice welcoming atmosphere. Offers indoor and outdoor seats (joint seats! Hopefully back before we leave Salzburg!

Perfect location for a drink while visiting the city. Right on the river in the new part of the city.
