Matthews Oak Hickory Bbq - SALUDA

This is a fantastic dining spot with incredible BBQ! I enjoyed it so much that I visited two days in a row. The owner, a veteran, is a very friendly gentleman. There's plenty of space for a comfortable meal, and they offer an all-you-can-eat buffet. They serve some of the best BBQ in South Carolina, including ribs, hash, and various BBQ dishes. The atmosphere is very community-oriented, making it a wonderful place in this quaint rural town.

Wow, what an amazing breakfast! I'm still feeling full five days later. We definitely plan to return!

The restaurant offers a delightful selection of homestyle BBQ, fresh vegetables, and creamy macaroni and cheese. They also serve salads and cornbread, adding to the comforting menu.

This place has good fried chicken, the best coke slaw, and good mustard based bbq. They used to have the best French fries ever but We've heard they started using the frozen kind so We are disappointed in that. Do not look to closely at anything and get it to go (go in side door not dining room door). Send in your most not caring about cleanliness relative to pick up the order and you will be fine. It's an old Southern place from back in the day which is nice to see.

Used to be better but food has gotten sloppy and place looks so dirty. They used to make their own French fries and they were the best but they just changed to prepackaged fries and they suck. Also prices are now through the roof.
