Rendezvous at Salt Spring Island

This review is not about the product which is no doubt very good. We just never got a chance to try anything. When we discovered there was a patisserie near our B

Everything we tried at this patisserie was fabulous so much so that we had to go back the next day to try some more. The tartes aux citrons (lemon tarts), chocolate chip cookies and chocolate almond macarons were our favourites. Wish we didn't need to leave the island so that we could visit again!

We usually visit their stand in the Saturday market during summer. Everything is so beautiful and tasty and they sell out fast, so you should go there early. My favourites are their cannelés de bordeaux and tarte aux framboises. They are worth the ferry ride from Vanvouver :-)

These guys are fantastic. Had some of the best canelles outside of Paris. My macaroon snob family gave theirs 5-stars across the board. Mushroom quiche was excellent, and pear almond tart was out of this world. Found them at the Sat am Mkt, but the French wife/husband team were delightful. Worth every calorie.

Incredible! Huge piece of chocolate tart at the Salt Spring Market. Brigitte is proper French. So I trusted that the tart would not disappoint.
