Contribuiți la feedbackWe went in to eat at a clearly busy time and it appeared they were probably short staffed for the day. They were visibly working hard to get everything done, and ended up slightly overcooking one of our pizzas. They apologized and gave us that pizza plus another one for free because of their mistake. They went above and beyond when it would have been easy to justify the mistake as they were busy, but they instead sought to remedy their mistake.
My criteria for a stellar New York style pizza are: The crust should have some chew, taste fermented, not be burnt, be cooked. I’m a fan of sauce: I like to taste garlic, oregano, a little sweetness, tang. Melty cheese, and not too much. On these criteria este is good. I’ve had great pizza from them but that’s one in five. I order it almost every week and take it home because it’s okay for New York style and SLC doesn’t have many options.
Hope the pizza is better than the orzo salad. I can’t recommend, it was soaked in oil and almost inedible. The ambiance is quaint and eclectic, so it’s worth another visit to try the pizza. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and still managed to be pleasant, which is always a difficult feat.
I'm pretty frustrated with my latest experience today. The young man working there had a pretty bad attitude then let my pizza sit for so long that it's ice cold after driving home in 10 min. I walked in to order it and had to wait over 35 min while I watched people get their food before me, after showing up after me. Then I get home and see this terrible pizza. Did you even look at this thing when you made it?
Not impressed with the taste of this gluten free pizza, the value and price for what this offers. They charged me $2 for 4 mushrooms and 3$ for 5 slices of pepperoni for a total of $17... Sauce is very thin. It's not 10 and the taste is very bland. The dough is OK but it's chewy. Go somewhere else for gluten free. See my Pic for reference in size.
