Contribuiți la feedbackAlthough we usually dine in at Market Street, today we ordered takeout for lunch. The person who took our order over the phone was helpful and repeated our order for accuracy. Our food was ready right at the promised time and I was able to use my birthday BOGO from the frequent diner program, which is great! I added a couple of items from the market case and couldn't pass up extra blue cheese dressing since it is amazing. The bread isn't as good as it used to be, but everything else in our lunch order was perfect. Trout, crab sandwich, Cole slaw, fries, and a zucchini cookie with lemon frosting.
It's CRAB FEST RIGHT NOW and they have some really good crab appetizers and entrees My favorite was the crab queso dip but honestly everything is really good. Also the crab bisque is back for a limited time it's fire You can't go wrong with the crab combo or a filet and king crab leg. This is the biggest piece of crab I've ever seen at a restaurant out here. The filet was so tender and rich with flavor, there's nothing quite like a perfectly cooked filet oscar style to make your taste buds dance. I was savoring each bite. If you're looking for an exquisite place to impress on Valentine's Day. This could be it
When I made reservations, I noticed every time slot was open and now I kind of know why. The restaurant has always been sort of hit and-miss since one of the original owners died tragically in 2016. And now it seems as though every time we visit we're greeted and served by an entirely different staff. I've always considered a high turnover rate to be a bad sign, no matter what the business. I wish I had taken photos of the dinner menu. I'm almost positive that everything is more expensive than the menu posted on Market Street's website. The early bird special is now a choice between salmon or an 8oz cut of prime rib. The prime rib is now $29.99. They no longer offer fish and chips as an early bird choice. Au gratin potatoes were an extra $9. $3.60 for an iced tea. As usual, the bread was ok and the butter was frozen and hard as a rock. The food was fine, and the service by the newly hired waitress was great but I just didn't feel like the experience was worth $78 with tax not including the tip. My partner had the early bird prime with au gratin upgrade and water. I had the wedge salad with some crab plus a bowl of clam chowder and an iced tea. I left feeling sort of let down after paying a total of $95 for a casual dinner. Once again, our reason for going was to use the $25 birthday credit from our frequent diner membership. If you're feeling like having some really good fish and chips, then go to FishOn Bistro in Murray. The pieces of cod are twice the size and you get 3 pieces with fries for $15.50 plus the fish tastes better.
Big shoutout for Liz! An amazing bartender! She knows what is customer service! Good was great as always! See you guys soon! Thank you!
This is my second being here. My first experience, soso, I just got clam chowder and salad but my friend insisted to get trout plate even though that's not my fav fish. We both got trout plate and we also got a side of au gratin potato with an extra charge. First their bread is good but it wasn't warm and the butter was rock hard half frozen. They should definitely change that because it is a good bread. And the clam chowder was a lot and it was good, and the trout plate with root veggies and brown rice, I had to admit, my friend was right, it was delicious! And it's a local fish from Utah. And I also had a taste of Sauvignon Blanc from the tab was actually not bad. We will keep coming back here every Utah trip. But I really hope they will start warming up their bread or give us a whipped butter at least...
