Contribuiți la feedbackReally great experience at Finca! We made a reservation and were seated promptly. The restaurant is VERY small, so reservations are necessary. We ordered lots of small plates and three entrees. We ordered the calamares, croqueta, and coles de bruselas and they were all great. The brussel sprouts were sooooo good! For entrees, we had the paella de Valenciana, costilla (braised short rib), and Vieiras (scallops). Now, the paella was good, the braised short rib was delicious, but the scallops? AMAZINGGGGG! It is SOOOOO hard to get the cook on scallops just right- where you bite into them and they delicately melt in your mouth. Finca achieved just that!!! I have had scallops at plenty of places and they're always slightly overcooked, but not here. PERFECTION! We also ordered their churros and they were the BESTTTT churros I've ever had! Do airy and not overly dense as they almost always are. We will be back, for sure!!
Our server was very kind. The food is good, not stellar except for the pintxos. The pintxos we shared is excellent. The paella was served first. It's a bit greasy compared to most others I've had lacking in vegetables except for asparagus. The asparagus was good. The sangria is good just overly cinnamon flavored compared to more authentic restaurants in NYC or SF.
Beautiful patio setting for summer evening tapas. We skipped entrees and doubled down on snacks and appetizers. The Toasta de Setas was divine. We ordered one to share and then ordered it twice more. I would go back just for that delicious combination of mushrooms goat cheese on toast. The patatas bravas were tasty?like smashed and salted potatoes with crispy skin, complete with dipping sauce. The lamp pops were fresh with an earthier flavor (I prefer sliced spit lamb). The churros were some of the best I?ve had?fluffy inside and crunchy outside, not dense or greasy. The caramel dipping sauce was my favorite (it included two other chocolate sauces as well).
This was my second visit to Finca. It?s tucked away in a cute neighborhood with a few other businesses. They have a small, inside dining area and a similarly sized patio area. You should definitely plan ahead and make a reservation, if possible. In spite of being seemingly understaffed, they took great care of us and got our food out in a timely fashion. The staff was great! The paella, while not entirely authentic to the paellas I?ve had in Spain, was flavorful, a little on the spicy side, and lacking the common seafood tidbits. However, the chorizo and chicken in the paella were tasty and plentiful. If I want legit paella, I?d prolly go elsewhere but if you don?t know the difference, it?s a flavorful, filling dish nonetheless. Three of us shared the paella along with four of the tapas. None of us left hungry! The tapas we had were the Tosta de Chorizo, the Ceviche, Patatas Bravas and the lamb meatballs. All extremely flavorful, and would definitely recommend each of them. All in all, very pleased with this place! Thanks for a great experience. ????????
Finca is one of the better Spanish tapas restaurants in salt lake!! Their dishes are unique and flavored well and well plated for a good aesthetic. The service was ok, when we got their it started to downpour so it was quite chaotic, I think they handled it the best they could. As for dishes: Croquetas: very delicious, the outside was nice and crunchy and the inside was cooked through. Good dipping sauce. Patatas Bravas: nice spin on crispy potatoes. Great flavoring. Pinchos Morunos: lamb skewers. More like meatballs but yummy. Unique flavor to them. Paella: big dish, was able to take some home for leftovers. I wish the rice had been crispier in some parts but the flavor was good and the chorizo was delicious. I?d go here again and definitely recommend to a friend!
