Namaste Authentic Indian Cuisine

Let me start by saying I didn’t have high hopes for finding an amazing restaurant in Salmon Arm, but wow! The food here was absolutely amazing!! Everything came out fresh and made to order, including spice levels. Our server was very attentive and kind. I would highly recommend the vegetable samosas, aloo gobhi and garlic naan! Sorry I don’t have photos of the food, it was too yummy to wait!Vegetarian options: The vegetable samosas and aloo gobhi were excellent!

We recently visited this restaurant and ordered garlic naan, chili chicken, tandoori platter, chicken biryani, and Indian tea. The only dish that tasted good was the tandoori platter. The garlic naan seemed to be from a frozen package and was defrosted and warmed up. The chili chicken was awful, while the chicken biryani tasted okay.

On our trip to Calgary, we decided to make a pit stop at this restaurant for a quick bite. The service was fast, the Indian cuisine was truly authentic, and the staff was friendly.

We picked up a couple times as it lacks us time to visit and stay for dinner in the restaurant. Food is every time very tasteful and we do enjoy it to the last bite. Service is mostly friendly and to the point. The owner is always friendly and helpful. We will be back to try out more, by the way best calamari we had in a very long time.

Granted the food was quite good, the prices do not reflect the portion size or quality. I ordered two dishes with additional naan, the total came to $40 whereas the same items at the competing restaurant in Salmon Arm or a similar restaurant in Kelowna or Kamloops would've been about 25% less. I understand that there aren't many options in town, but at least please make the size of the portions reflect the price.
