My mom wanted to treat the family to dinner, we decided to try Table 24 what a mistake, the food was at the low end of the flavour spectrum, service was the same bad to none. I will never go back what a waste of time. We live in Salmon Arm and it is a sad day that a restaurant charges money for crappy food.
We enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Table 24, with a nice, relaxing setting, very good service by a pleasant, attentive Alisha, and outstanding food. My pork tenderloin was excellent, matched by my wife's perfect beef tenderloin, followed by a tasty dessert. We recommend highly, and will go back.
I am used to hotel restaurant food and have modest expectations in that setting. The menu said that local food was what they did and we wanted to have fun on vacation so decided to order a margarita and a strawberry daiquiri (easy to make both with fresh or frozen fruit). I asked whether these were mixes and the answer was yes and because of that the margarita had to be frozen rather than on the rocks. After ordering the Caesar salad with chicken, I was told a few minutes later that the kitchen was out of romaine (this was 730 pm) and would I mind a "mix of greens" - the waitress didn't know what that entailed. I opted instead for the chicken tacos and my wife ordered a fruit/avocado salad with shrimp. The chicken on the tacos was dry. The pico de gallo contained no detectable cilantro or lime and had large chunks of onion. The hothouse tomatoes were tasteless (tomato season had just started). The tacos couldn't be folded (very tough) so I had to eat them with a fork. I have had tacos dozens of times in North America and these were undoubtedly the worst. My wife could not bite through the avocado slices in her salad nor could I force a fork through it. I quietly made my concerns known to the waitress who said that she would pass my opinion on to the cook. She didn't charge for the tacos. Given the other favorable reviews I would have to believe that the person in the kitchen was a replacement as no chef would make such a poor pico de gallo or use an avocado that was so hard that it was not possible to bite through it. For that reason probably not a fair review of the restaurant though quality control is an issue.
Don't waste your time or money. Waited 58 minutes for an undercooked dinner. Stir fry carrots were too hard to chew (almost raw) and the Chicken Cacciatore was dry and tough. Then within 1/2 of eating, we ending up with upset stomachs.
