Dairy Queen Salisbury-Cake

Stopped for supper last night for supper at takeout. Service was slow but friendly. 7$ special is good for price, but the burger was cold not just warm but almost chilled. Have had this happen at other DQs so was not taken by surprise.

We don't eat at this restaurant but we love their ice cream cakes and we purchase them quite often. They have great ice cream cakes in various sizes and prices. They are great for deserts, especially for birthday cakes.

We usually stop at a place across the road from DQ, while coming/going to PEI, in July. This time we decided to stop here, as it was easier access from the highway, and had a less hectic parking lot. We ordered the usual hamburger meals, and dined in. The service was fairly fast. Nice to know this is another option, and easy to get in and out of, and it's right off the highway. So, we'll be back.

Needing a cool refreshment while hauling a 29 ft travel trailer, I mistakenly pulled into the DQ's lot only to find very limited turning and parking room. So I drove over a low curb into the adjacent truck stop and walked back to the DQ. Should have driven into the truck stop initially as there was lots of space. Plus you can also walk to the NB Liquor outlet on the other side of the parking lot. The only problem with walking the extra 200' was the Peanut Buster Parfait started to melt by the time I got back to the trailer because it was so hot out. But I now know that I can access the DQ easily when I am hauling the travel trailer, and will do so in the future.

When traveling out of Province, there is nothing better than to stop in to a restaurant that you know what you can expect. The DQ Grill Chill in Salisbury is just that. Good food, good service, great location. Good, Good, Good!
