Salinas City Bbq

We generally order togo (order ahead via Toast) when we are passing through Salinas. Today we decided to eat at the restaurant. Like always their food is 5 Star BBQ. We have tried the Brisket, Tri-Tip and Pulled Pork all were amazing. The beans are spicy and not sweet but are very good. We tried the green salad, cole slaw and Mac and cheese all were on point. This place is a good value and definitely worth your time if you are a fan of quality smoked BBQ.

Best bbq outside of Texas. Saying a lot I know. But. God. Damn.

This was some of the best bbq the four people I came with had in our lives. We ordered two tri-tip and brisket combos which were great. Got pulled pork and pulled chicken both amazing. The bread the sandwiches are on seemed freshly in house baked (not sure if that’s the case) but was amazing. Sides we got were baked beans, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. Washed it down with a promised land brewed Mighty High west coast pale ale, amazing. Gem of a spot.

It’s so expensive and soda can he charge me 3 dollar didn’t worth at all . That’s why it’s not busy at all . I hope he discreased the price

Our food could have been more flavorful. I had really high hopes for this place! The corn bread was dense and flavorless, the potato salad had a strange flavor, and the baked beans were not good. The food looks amazing in the photos but left more to be desired..
