Jim's - Salinas

Everything here is fabulous! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the portion sizes are generous. Oh my, what a great experience!

I recently won a gift certificate for Jim's in Prunadale and decided to give it to someone as a thank you. When they visited the restaurant to use it towards their dinner, the staff refused to accept the gift card and were quite rude to both them and me when I called to inquire about it. In California, gift certificates do not expire and they remain valid regardless of ownership changes. The staff's claim that the new owner does not accept them is not only incorrect but also against the law. I plan to reach out to the owner tomorrow to discuss this issue, as their employees informed me they were unavailable at the moment. I've been a loyal customer of Jim's in Seaside for over 10 years and have always had great experiences, which makes this situation even more shocking. I would never have expected such treatment from Jim's.

The new owner has recently taken over the restaurant in Prunedale, and it's now called Annie’s Place. I really enjoyed my dinner of sweet and sour buns paired with steamed white rice. My partner had the broccoli beef, which was packed with broccoli. I would have liked to see more variety in the dish, but overall it was a good experience.

Really good Chinese food and cheap. The service is fantastic, our server was very friendly and efficient. We received very generous portions. It is located near a car repair shop so is the perfect place to eat while waiting for smog check etc. Recommend this family restaurant.

Food was piping hot like you hope for from a home cooked style meal. Everything was well done. Service was great. Very nice couple from Hong Kong. Started in SF and are sadly moving to Marina! We'll miss them! Little bit pricey for the Asian food, $10 a plate, but it is what it is. They also have American food which is cheaper, or even Italian! Kid friendly!
