Cafe Dawn - Salida

Fantastic restaurant! The staff is incredibly friendly, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating options for relaxing. It has a prime location in downtown, serving excellent coffee and an amazing breakfast sandwich. I’m definitely returning. However, the entire city is quite pricey, feeling like a total tourist trap. It's an interesting city with some quirky shops!

The coffee and bagel sandwiches are great! They offer a limited selection of bagels and cream cheese, which isn’t a drawback, just something to keep in mind. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lovely and inviting.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the restaurant, and the staff were friendly. My friend ordered a chai tea latte, which was excellent. However, I had a disappointing experience with my iced latte. The barista filled a pint glass with about 90% milk and then topped it off with espresso, causing it to overflow. After that, she shook the mixture with cocktail mixers, poured it back into the glass, and added six ice cubes. Essentially, it tasted like espresso-flavored milk. If this is what you're calling a latte, you should honestly label it as "espresso milk" to prevent disappointment. A better approach would be to visit Starbucks to learn how to properly prepare a drink: simply fill a cup with ice, add six ounces of milk, and then pour the espresso over it. It's really that simple.

All I'll say is chocolate strawberry cake! Great coffee, fast service, fresh bakery... Update: The guy behind the counter seems to be a straw, not necessarily only towards tourists and another review states
