Madegra - SALERNO

I ate here today and I will return to the final! I also stumbled after the ferry back to the city. it is a cafeteria where you can see the food and choose what you want. (I am from the south in America, where we have many cafeterias and love them. I was pleased to have a selection of many different vegetables that were cooked green peas with speck were particularly good. excellent eating and a good value, but they can eat in their own pace, then leave. many thanks for a great meal, and thanks to the staff who helped me understand various dishes.

Beautiful eating. Honestly, one of the best seafood I had. over all Greece, Cyprus and italy and hands down, calamari was amazing. very cost-effective for what they get. seriously, if we had this in the united states, it would cost 4 times. must go cafeteria.

I tried focaccia with tomato and it was delicious. it was 4€ that I don't think is expensive. they have many other dishes and a great selection of food. yet the toilet was a catastrophe and it needs definitiw renovations.

There are several Madegra premises in the same small section, we went to the Cafe on the end, on the street corner at the end of the row. It sells hot cold drinks, ice creams, pastries sandwiches. There's also a burger bar plus a pizza restaurant. There's plenty of seating under umbrellas and the premises are very clean. It took a while to get served, plus a while to pay. The waiter also got our order wrong, arriving with a coffee water (I'm sure the coffee was good) but we'd ordered an Aperol Spritz. I went for the Nastro zero beer.

This was convenient enroute from the ferry to train station. It was well presented in the cases. It was likely our most expensive food of the week. The portions were large. The quality of food and the flavor was not our preferences. The outside seating was nice. Indoor seating up front was air conditioned the tables in the back were slightly stuffy.
