The Kitchen On Court Street - Salem

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative assessment. we went to breakfast and ordered two “vegan Scrambles”, and coffee; the only vegan option to breakfast. coffee was good, and the dry toast and jam was also good. the simple, cold tofu with cold pico de gallo was tasteless, at least the warm kartoffels fried in butter made it pale. more beautiful place if they don't want to deny the waitress.

This is a great addition to salem. while there are a lot of 24 hours to salem, there are little pronounced vegan friendliness to them. here there are many clear,y marked options, and some of them (the scramble) are quite tasteful, some (like the lens soup) are a little bland. for salem and overall quality, most prices are quite exaggerated. example of mercifulness games for fine vegan cuisine with meals at some of portland's nice vegan restaurants can be the same price, so I'm not sure how diner eat in a lower rental city like salem can justify that, but it is a nice option for vegan insomniacs in salem. service is attentive and friendly and there are many cool small businesses in the city near.

Agree with the last review. it has been awhile since I left and I had much higher expectations than what I experienced. barely vegan options and the ones they had lacked in many hindsight.

Also sat here with non-vegans and vegans. everyone was happy. the vegan choices were both soft tofu-based: vegan stir that was delicious, and the vegan that was tasty, even though something too oily. If you have to go with one, go with the scramble.

The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and most importantly, the food was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. Our 2 year old had a great time too, making it a family-friendly place. We decided to have brunch and really enjoyed our sandwiches.
