Szechuan - Salem

They have wonderful food. The servers are friendly and tentative. We always like to start off with the poo poo appetizer.

Sat at the bar enjoyed a cocktail and wonton soup. Attentive, friendly bartender ?Family owned and you can tell. High quality dumplings. I look forward to trying all their interesting soups!

One of the best Chinese restaurants we have been to in a long time. Definitely worth it!

Read that this restaurant closes at 9, so i just drove 20 minutes to this establishment and arrived at 8:18, just to be denied service because “dine out ends at 8:15” yet the restaurant was packed. to deny service 40 minutes before closing is WILD. we would’ve been in and out. NO WHERE on the website he claims to have (which is nonexistent) does it state that they end dine in 45 minutes before closing. wasted 15 miles of gas, and now can’t go anywhere else to eat because everything is closed. angry is an understatement and it’s a shame as we frequent this place, but now will most certainly never return.

Unfortunately, our visit to Szechuan Restaurant left much to be desired. Despite arriving well before closing time, we were denied service 40 minutes before the stated closing hour. We were informed that they stop taking dine-in customers at 8:15, even though closing time was listed as 9. This lack of accommodation was disappointing and marred what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. It's important for restaurants to uphold their advertised operating hours and provide consistent service to all customers.Adding to the frustration, despite numerous other customers already dining in, we were turned away with the explanation that they hadn't updated their website in years, despite Google indicating it was updated just two months ago. This inconsistency in information only added to the disappointment of being denied service well before the posted closing time. We will not be giving this company our business when we were clearly lied to. The same guy that denied service also claimed to be the manager, it’s pathetic!
