It took about 30 minutes for us to get our drinks. He said that there was a computer glitch that kept our order from going all the way through. And some other person came over to let us know that there was a problem. Our taco order was messed up, one taco was ice cold and I sent it back and we didn?t get everything we ordered. It took about an hour and a half for our simple meal of tacos, chips and sides. The waiter apologize profusely saying they were in a transition and they were not ready. The other person said that there was some computer upgrade that made them lose these three tables. In my mind if you knew you had a problem you should?ve kept checking on us and verifying. Only when I mentioned that we should get a comp did we get a couple of things taken off of our bill. The waiter said this won?t be El jefe for long it?s supposed to be a different restaurant. We had a lot of patience because I know restaurants are having problems with staff right now but this was really something the manager should?ve come over and apologized profusely and done just a little bit more. The best thing was the cucumber margarita.
Very friendly and delicious place where I was happy to stop on my way home. The chickens Tinga taco and Carnitas taco I had been full of taste, as well as the fried Oreos! The waiting staff was very attentive and attentive.
The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. The terrace seating was also perfect.
Good food, not exceptional. Cost is on the higher side. Dessert is expensive(3 donuts are $6) I tried the chopped brisket sandwich as my main meal. Decent flavor but nothing to right home about. Cost of chopped brisket meal, which included a drink and a side(I tried their fries) is $15.25. Service was alright but not exceptional. Sat without a refill on my Arnold Palmer (sweet tea and lemonade mixed) for 10+ minutes while the waitress came by and brought my dessert out but no refill. Not a terrible experience but definitely not the Wow service and food experience I was hoping for.
Sunday brunch outside in August. Not busy. Minimum staff. Slowly on beverage orders. Coffee brewed to order, pods. **** Mary, good, sharp. Egg sandwich was delicious. Potatoes, yes. Omelet lacked avocado and salsa. Asked for Salsa, ate slowly, eventually managers might have brought, but had 2 bites on record, he commented how the salsa must be late. Many later servers returned, we mentioned salsa too late he said there would be no additional fee...remembers the menu displayed, it would have to come both avocado mash and salsa. He said he was sorry. He was waiting for the ticket. Blah experience... too bad, nice atmosphere and delicious breakfast sandwich.
