China Gourmet - Salem

We visited for the first time last night and really enjoyed our meal. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. We loved the beautiful interior of the restaurant. The food had an authentic flavor, and the spices were definitely noticeable.

This is unquestionably the BEST Chinese restaurant in Salem. My team and I dine here at least once a week. The food is exceptionally fresh! The owners are also fantastic people.

I had a wonderful experience at this charming family-owned Chinese restaurant, and I highly recommend it. The fresh aromas are delightful and not overpowering. I tried two dishes, both of which were outstanding—far better than any other Chinese restaurant in the city. While the menu isn't extensive, there are plenty of options, and I can't wait to sample more. I went back for a second round and everything I had was spectacular. The Kung Pao Chicken is incredibly flavorful, outshining all other local options, and the fried rice is light and delicious. The dishes featuring pork with peas and the gourmet seafood udon noodles were also fantastic. Make sure to visit on a Monday when they're open!

Delicious Chinese food. I love fried rice there that is close to home-wok style and very authentic! Definitely recommend for ppl who want to try more authentic Chinese dishes in the city.

Awesome Chinese, best I've had in a while. Small, but well decorated inside. Feels family run. Quick service, excellent recommendations, but I'm guessing everything on the menu is good to excellent. The gourmet fried rice and sweet and sour chicken were a favorite. The sesame chicken was delicious, but not for everyone's palette. Kung Pao was highly recommended as their number one dish, we'll try that next time. If Panda is average, this place is excellent. They use decent size chunks of meat, the breading is consistent, crispy, and the sauce perfection. They do not use msg or put sugar in the sauce. It's small, but they could handle a larger group if you call ahead and go at an off time. There's a small parking lot.
