Awful Arthur's Seafood Co - Salem

I have to confess...I had to take a picture of the Crab Ragoon Dip from the website because we couldn't resist diving in as soon as it arrived at our table. The dip was filled with hot crabmeat, roasted red peppers, and boursin cream cheese, served in a slightly larger oblong bowl than the one in the picture. It was absolutely perfect! The dip came with a sweet chili sauce and tortilla chips - I was initially skeptical of using plain chips instead of fried wontons, but the dip was the real star of the dish. I highly recommend trying it! We chose this restaurant based on its name, and the food definitely lived up to it. We will definitely be returning!

I tried both the crab Rangoon dip and the creamy crab pepper jack soup at this restaurant! Both dishes were delicious and I would definitely order them again. However, I recommend not having them together, especially if you are sensitive to dairy.

The service at this restaurant was terrible. We didn't receive half of our food, and when we asked about it, we were told that there was an order ahead of ours and we would have to wait longer because it was forgotten. The shrimp we did receive was overcooked. I usually tip servers generously, but not this time. Our server, Casey B, showed no care or concern. Maybe she should consider a different line of work. This dining experience was a complete disappointment.

Came here for a quick lunch with family and absolutely kill 2 dozen oysters, half dozen clams, some calamari, and some really nicely done seared ahi tuna! Prices were great as well. Seafood was very fresh, which is always a plus!! Our service was great,she made sure our table was cleared and that our drinks were always filled. We have always gone to the downtown location, andthis was the first time to the Salem location, but after coming here this will be our new location. The place is super clean,and staff was very nice and very attentive to ours, and other customers needs.

Bar scene in the back, sit down restaurant in the front. Reasonable prices on very good fried seafood dishes. Service was quick and friendly, food was very good. If you are looking for five-star dining this is not it. If you are looking for fried oysters,homemade tartar sauce and a cold beer you found your place.
