The famous lotek in Monginsidi Street! Lotek is a mixed of vegetables with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is usually made by order on this big stone mortar. The veggies are already cooked like spinach, water spinach, cabbage, bean sprout, etc. The seller will mix your selected veggies with the peanut sauce that has hint of galangal. After being mixed, you can eat them directly or using lontong compressed rice cake or regular rice. Add kerupuk or chips for the crunch. This humble stall is small and very old, but the people who come here are willing to queue for quite some time to get their order because the taste of lotek here is very good. You have to park on the road side or the sidewalk. If possible, come before 11 because it will be super crowded by lunch time. Most of the time they will sold out the food after lunch. You can dine in but it only offers some chairs and the crowd will make it hard to enjoy the food, I prefer to have it taken home.
