Restaurang Stora Torget - Sala

This is my favorite restaurant in Sala. They consistently serve good meals at a reasonable price in a friendly atmosphere. The owners are friendly and attentive to service.

We made a reservation ahead of time and when we arrived, we were warmly greeted as if we were old friends! After spending the afternoon exploring the famous Sala silver mine (over 160 meters underground and freezing cold), we were eager for a hearty meal. And we were not let down! The portions were generous, the service was excellent, and the prices were fair. My husband ordered gös (Swedish fish), my sister-in-law had delicious lamb racks, and I chose the beef fillet served on a large wooden platter. We all ended up indulging in dessert as well. We probably won't be going back into the mine again, but we would definitely return to this restaurant!

The food at this restaurant is excellent. They offer both lunch and à la carte service. The staff is very nice and the owner is extremely friendly. The location is convenient, close to the town square.

Very expensive food and we get very small portions. good salad is extra.

Bark meat dish, fish of the day sallader bar, coffee, cake. delicious food. children's menu: pancakes, meatballs.
