Les Flambeaux - Sainte-Maxime

We've been eating here for 8 years and it can't be beaten. stephanie and nellie, the owner, are exceptional. No matter how busy it is, these 2 ladies are very professional. if you want a cabaret act, eat them at the sea front!. on a 2 weeks touring vacation, we ate in a lot of restaurants michelin played chateaux in village bistros and this chef is as good as anyone you can find. no burger or pizza on the menu, only authentic French cuisine in a great vieux ville location. therefore we go it is an excellent restaurant.

We had dinner at this place as recommended by travel advisers, but the quality of the meal was disappointing, it was all with too much oil, too fat and kartoffel and sweet float in the sauce.

We visited the restaurant in July 2010, and since we returned to Ste Maxime this summer we thought we would give it a new try. The greeting is not very friendly, nor is the service. When it comes to the food, everything is more or...less at it was 9 yeas ago. The overall assessment is that if the owner and the staff was more welcoming and service minded we would go again.

As usual, a trip advisor find. Our third night in Ste Maxime. The food was fabulous as was the service. It might be a little churlish to say it was slightly expensive but that’s the Côte d’Azur for you The steak and lamb were cooked...to perfection. Provence Rose was €26. Not too outrageous. Highly recommended!

I am always quite careful not to end up in overpriced tourist traps - the night we ate here we succeeded. The atmosphere is very relaxed and they take good care of you, the food is absolutely delicious and the value for money is really good.On a hot summer night their veranda is where you would want to sit - as their veranda is a small one, making a reservation would be smart!
