We were very excited to try it and felt rather inspired. How wrong we were! We booked a later table - 9pm - and headed into the town. On arrival, we were told that our table would not be free for another 15/20 minutes and were told to go and have a wander. We did. When we came back, the table was not free still. We eventually decided to have a table inside as the outside ones were actually packed in like sardines anyway. The gentleman was a friendly chap. One of his two lady staff members was amenable and the other far less so until it was the end of the meal and she personally dampened our experience. We were given a very short menu in English, despite me speaking to them in french. Another family needed this as well so before we had even ordered, it was taken away from us! The menu blackboard had little description and was very vague. "Vegetarian dish" was one such offering. It took ages to order drinks and food. When we finally ate, the starter of Nems was lovely. I have yet to eat a bad Nems dish in France. The main of very rare pink pork for my partner and seafood ravioli for main was less enjoyable. I don't think I have needed to drink something sweet to cut though a fishy taste before. We looked at the dessert menu but decided not to chance it and went elsewhere. The bill came and was not very clear either. All in all, a sad result to date night and we definitely won't be returning. (Liked the stone wall and bike though.)
