Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we discovered that the "table champêtre" (restaurant) had been closed for two years. We had a conversation with both owners, who informed us that they still sell their products (French duck pâté, cassoulet, etc.), but no longer offer them in a restaurant setting. It was disappointing, but we were pleasantly surprised by the extensive antique shop on the premises. The shop was like something out of a movie, with antiques scattered both outside and inside the barn. It was a charming place to visit, and I am looking forward to enjoying the food we purchased. I highly recommend this spot to antique and vintage enthusiasts, as well as those interested in trying fresh, locally sourced food products. The owners raise all their animals on the farm without the use of chemicals or spices, and it truly was a unique experience.
Take a tour of l'Ile d'Orleans and make sure to stop and buy some delicious homemade goods that are made the traditional way. Chat with the friendly owners who will be happy to spend some time with you. And don't forget to stay for lunch - you won't be disappointed!
My husband and I had a fantastic dining experience at this lovely, rustic farm-restaurant. We love a laid-back, intimate dining setting where we can leisurely enjoy our meal, and this place was perfect for us. The 12-course meal lasted 4 hours, but we were in no rush, and the service was very friendly. Owner Jacques Legros handles everything from farming to cooking to serving. The food was amazing, with subtle yet bold flavors, all made from farm-fresh ingredients. Be sure to bring your own wine and make reservations ahead of time. It's definitely worth it!
A passionate chef produces wholesome food in an idylic setting with the restaurant being an historic ranch home. Fresh home grown ingredients are used with an emphasis on natural food and natural flavors. A great experience with tasty vegetaran options
Great restaurant and various geese, duck and wild turkey products. All animals raised without force feeding. The magret de canard fume is excellent and so are the pates. Worth the detour. Call in advance if you want to eat there!
