A very nice discovery in St Andre. The place in itself needs some recovery, it looks a little oldish BUT!!! The family atmosphere is great, with the kahuna (the Mother Velli) who is cooking delicious dishes, and the rest of the family at her side, even with their children plying restaurant games aside us, it was delightfull. You might say that having children playing while you"re eating is nasty BUT watching these two marmailles (children in creole) playing the chef and the client was a pièce of theater. The place are of very good porcelain, the glasses clean without stains on. The creol dishes are tasty. Don"t expect for great variety of beers, but you will taste the most comon local ones. Deserts are great. Even if the building by itself needs a lot of modernisation, you will soon forget about it once you are at table. Have a wonderful time!
Excellent lunch of noon in this very nice restaurant of Saint-André, where we were welcomed in a charming way by the staff. Special mention to the palm salad and vanilla camarons! Pressed by time, they cut in four to allow us to taste our dishes within a reasonable time, and we are very grateful to them. A table to recommend closed eyes!
Very nice passage to the restaurant Velli de St André, located close to the Temple of the Colosseum. Very warm welcome despite our late arrival time at the restaurant! A big thank you to the whole team for this welcome and for the tasty cuisine, based on local dishes: Cari chicken farmer with fresh palmists, Camarons poëllés with vanilla, grilled fish with plancha, chilies, etc. And of course doughnuts of shrimp, punch and local beer dodo (Bourbon mark: the bedside bed! . A good address to know!
The food was pretty good but with a ratio of price a little high... Otherwise the restaurant is pretty with nice waiters. There are tables in the interior and pretty covered terrace tables it's pretty good. Small for good cocktails
