La Gourmandiere

We have eaten at La Gourmandiere many times over the years and it’s always an absolute delight . We celebrated our anniversary there yesterday with 18 friends and Christian and his team excelled themselves. Delicious food and wine , impeccable service and amazing attention to detail . The surroundings are beautiful whether on the terrace as we were, or inside the restaurant which is so welcoming especially in cooler weather when the fire is lit. A wonderful place !

We have been here many times, we keep coming back and so do most of our friends who we have taken there. Consistently lovely food, a really nice ambiance and the chef takes time to say hello.

We dropped in for lunch and were so well impressed with everything, we booked for dinner a couple of days later. Our 21euro lunchtime meal was delicious. We upped the stakes to 42 euros for the evening. Yes, it was twice as good! From the moment the patron appeared in his whites with some delicious (and free) petit fours, we knew it would be a nice meal. We were right! Reasonably priced wine list. Even the cheeseboard had more than twenty to choose from. Faultless both visits.

A beautiful discovery! A very nice setting with a nice welcome. Delicious and hearty dishes. I really recommend this restaurant if we like the right kitchen.
