Tramici - Saint Simons Island

In town for a Church Conference. Food was DELICIOUS but service was slightly sub par. Don't know if our Server was new or what?? But even with a Reservation thru Open Table made a week in advance we were late being seated just saying. If our service had been up to par this probably would have been a 5 STAR review :

No pizza on Monday? Just called for takeout as this is a favorite spot and my MIL is housebound after an operation. When I ordered a pizza the hostess asked For *tonight*? Um...yes? Then was told there 's no pizza tonight. Not sure if that 's because it 's a Monday or what. Big bummer and the online menu doesn 't indicate there 's no pizza.

If ever a restaurant needs a massive shake-up, this is it. Food was terrible. Calamari with a crumb so salty it was impossible to taste anything else for minutes afterwards, let alone the calamari itself. Pasta Alfredo so garlicky and thick, it was truly awful. Service was slow or non existent. This place seems to attract plenty of guests, but clearly has a lack of competition. Overpriced and overrated.

Our great server Tia is the ONLY reason this review is not a 1 star. She was attentive and did everything correctly to address the issues we had with our meal. Appetizers Crispy Brussels We could not eat half of them because they were burned/charred past edible. Calamari It lacked flavor and could have been cooked/fried more. Entrees Bianca Pizza The sliced potatoes were an odd topping (and sliced too thick) and the pizza was okay, but nothing special. Chicken Piccata Horrible. The chicken cutlets were too thin and were overcooked. We sent it back and the second portion was only slightly better. The meal was also drenched in butter, which is not proper for a piccata. Dessert Chocolate on the Rocks It was nice but disappointing. The chocolate moose was missing a flavor element. Definitely cannot recommend based on our experience.

Short Rib Ravioli used to be excellent. The recipe has completely changed and is a completely different dish. Definitely seems to be cutting corners. Everyone was disappointed
