Fortune House - Saint Simons Island

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The egg roll was dry and bland, the fried wontons were greasy and lacked flavor, and the wings were just oversized drumettes. I’ve never been to a Chinese restaurant that didn't serve whole wings. When my boyfriend mentioned to the server that we didn't enjoy the food, they took $11 off our bill!

The service was prompt and friendly, and the location was conveniently close to the SSI beaches, which was great since we didn't want to drive into Brunswick. The food was average—nothing remarkable or particularly satisfying, but acceptable enough. However, some dishes had an unusual flavor that was hard to pinpoint, reminiscent of old cooking oil. The portion sizes were decent, even generous at times. The egg roll was plump and served hot, but the filling was mushy and lacked distinct vegetable flavors. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I expected more. To the owners: you have the potential for a five-star establishment, but the food and seasoning need improvement. Good luck!

I've ordered takeout from here several times, and my family absolutely loved it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

One of the best in Glynn County. Tried some other places in Brunswick and they were a no for me. I love black pepper chicken, and they do it well with celery and sliced onion.

Dinner there last night. Wonderful food. I've had several different meals there and it has always been consistently good. Portions are huge. Staff is sweet and friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere. Reasonably priced, unlike many restaurants on St Simons. Egg drop soup is one of the best l have ever had and my friend's Sesame Chicken was amazing.
