La Factory - Saint-Raphaël

Close to the harbour, La Factory stands out due to it's modern interior. Very good food presented in a nice way. Not the common brasserie food but just that touch more.

During our stay in Theoule, we had plans to meet my Frenchman's sister. She was en route to Paris after a stay in St. Tropez. A great middle ground was to meet in St. Raphael. We had intended to only stop at La Factory for drinks but ended up staying for dinner.We weren't expecting the food to be as good as it was. Sometimes people have this idea that every restaurant in France is supposed to serve 5-star haute cuisine. It isn't that way. You can get a decent meal at many places.La Factory is one of the places where you can get a decent meal at a decent price. I had the tartare of beef. And as a big fan of tartare, this was just as good as many high-end places I've eaten this same dish in. My better half had the steak and he raved about it. His sister also had the steak and thought it was incredibly good. The frites also got rave reviews from my Frenchman. If you are in the St. Raphael area and are looking for a decent place to eat, this is a good choice.The service was very good the outdoor seating lends itself very well to people watching. The restaurant looked very nice on the out side and inside. It sticks out from the other and it is worth going to as the food is nice

The location and the service are good but the food is very average. We ordered plain pasta for my son and it wasn't very good. Both the tartare and the pizza were very average.

Came here for dinner last week as we were walking by and the place caught our eye as the patio was filled and they had live entertainment. This place has some good potential as it has a retractable roof and is quite spacious. I ordered the risotto Nero which sounded and looked great but lacked in flavor. My husband ordered a pizza which was also bland. Aside from the meals we did enjoy our wine as their serving size per glass is quite large. Would come back for the entertainment and drinks and maybe an appetizer platter as those looked pretty appetizing.
