Chief's Creole Cafe - SAINT PETERSBURG

We chose Chief's as the kickoff to our Second Sunday dinner a group of friends who get together once a month to eat and enjoy each other's company.

The food is great but the service needs workIt took "forever"to get our food.

Just arrived for a conference in St PetersburgWe scanned Yelp for an interesting place for dinner, and this lovely restaurant caught our eye.

I had the most wonderful experience there. Stopped by to hear my friends, Fred Johnson and Michael Ross. You KNOW that was off the chain! And the food...I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to choose, so I went with the suggestion from my waitress..who by the way was very nice and helpful in describing each dish I thought I might want to try. To make a long story short, she suggested the platter which includes (3) entrees. I couldn't stop eating the first dish to get the next one, And each one got better than the entree before. You really felt you were in New Orleans! The ambiance inside and the patio outside. Very relaxing and fun. The family-type setting...I appreciated that a lot. I was even impressed with the authentic glass pitchers of filtered water they brought to the dining table. I appreciated not tasting any chlorine. I'm funny that way. Dessert...you gotta have their dessert. I split the peach cobbler and bread pudding covered with bourbon sauce with one of my friends at the table. We couldn't make up our minds!! LOL Check it out for yourself. I give five (5) Stars!!!

This restaurant with lake is located near the st. petersburg warehouse art district. it is a couple of miles from tropicana field and next door to the dr. carter g. woodson african american museum it has been a common site for eight years. the sections are satisfactory. eating is tasteful, even if it is heated to home (don't forget their sauces. the brotpudding has one as well as fish) ask her to warm up the sauce that goes on her brotpudding. just a bit. and porcelain it (they are welcome). prices are competitive. on the back is a sufficient parking space. at present they only offer the execution of the order. therefore, an internal fit is not present. but they allow them to eat on their terrace. I recommend you try. the sweet potatoes were “to go back” and the maismuffins had actually mais in them. the service was inviting. the job was brought to the table (be nice and tip).
