Cali St. Pete - SAINT PETERSBURG

This is definitely one of my favorite spots! I'm really pleased with their extensive menu, and I find the prices to be reasonable. My boyfriend always orders the steak and eggs and swears by it! I enjoy trying all of their bowls, where you can customize your choice of protein and base. My favorites are the Hot n Crunchy and the Brazilian bowls. The portions are generous—more than enough to satisfy! Sometimes the live music can be a bit too loud, but I would definitely come back!

The environment was clean and the staff were very friendly; the service was quite fast as well. However, I was underwhelmed by the hot and crunchy bowl. While the presentation was appealing, the dish lacked flavor. The tempura onions on top provided the only contrasting texture; unfortunately, they were overly greasy. The tuna was fresh, but it really needed to be marinated; otherwise, it got lost in the bowl, as it did this time. I couldn't taste anything else in the dish. Both my coworker and I found ourselves asking for extra soy sauce just to add some flavor, which really shouldn't be necessary. On a positive note, her cookies were fantastic.

I tried the hot honey pizza with a Gulf Coast sourdough crust, and it was absolutely amazing! The outdoor terrace is beautiful and green, and the staff is incredibly friendly. As a nice touch for our first visit, we even received a few free cookies!

Cali is probably what I look forward to most when visiting the family in St. Pete. The food is fantastic. Tamara is also a top animal server. She treated us as if we were fine dining customers, expected what we needed before we needed it, super friendly and sweet. You can say that they put much love and care in the healing of these recipes and all that I had is blowing me. The food is simply exciting and refreshing when you are tired of normal foods.

I got the Brazilian bowl and a berry hibiscus iced tea. I really loved both the food and the ice tea. I think my servers name was Evan, they were really nice and were on top of it
