El Maguey Mexican - Saint Peters

One of my preferred spots for Mexican food. I was so stuffed. Nothing but great experiences here. This place has a good atmosphere.

The food was SO good! Waiter was kinda slow and disappeared a few times but the food and my margarita were amazing!

The food is consistently served hot and delicious. My orders have always been correct. The service is exceptional, and the drinks are potent. My favorite dish is the steak fajitas, paired with beans and rice. The portions are enormous; I often find myself taking half of it home. Everything is incredibly tasty. I’ve never experienced any problems, whether with the food or the service, at any of their locations.

It's a local chain specializing in Mexican cuisine, and the consistency across all their locations is remarkable. I've been visiting El Maguey since 1996, and I've never had a negative experience. Their queso has remained just as delicious since my first visit. I often go through phases where I try different dishes, and I've enjoyed everything—from enchiladas and tacos to burritos and the quesadilla Jalisco. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order.

I ordered the tamales and the shrimp soup. The tamales were large and the portion was generous. I really liked how they generously covered the tamales in sauce.
