Restaurant l echappee belle

Run by a friendly couple as a restaurant at lunchtime and also a traiteur for takeout food. Very good, reliable local cuisine with excellent set menu. Love the timbale d’aubergine!

This Restaurant operates from a small courtyard entered by what appears to be a shop. My guess is that it is a two person business one front of house and one in the kitchen. The latter certainly knows how to cook . There was a choice of starters , mains and desserts . My wife and I tried the bream beautifully cooked. Very informal atmosphere and unpretentious . We like it a lot

I organised a lunch at L'Eschappée Belle last week for a group of 24 road bike cyclists. Even if we had booked for only 20 people in advance, the restaurant cleared their tables and made room for all 24 of us when they got the news the same morning about our number. We had agreed on a set menu of fish/local garniture and a dessert. We had a superb and very nicely cooked fish, with a ratatouille and potato. The group from Denmark stayed at a luxury style hotel with a restaurant, yet talked to me for days about the fish they had had at L'Eschappée Belle. The desserts were also very fresh, homemade tarte citron and a delicious parfait. We sat in a very charming court in the midst of Provence village houses. I highly recommend this sweet little restaurant when you pass through Saint-Paul-en-Forêt.

I wasn't expecting to have a 3 course meal at lunch but it was an amazing culinary treat. You cannot miss this,place. It is so charming and the staff is lovely.

Cuisine du Sud excellente. Les produits sont frais et très bien cuisinés. Bonne présentation des plats et un service très aimable et simple. A recommander.
