Great coffee and beautiful staff! coffee interesting, but no coffee.

The espresso was excellent. They noticed that it was not pulling right and adjusted it. That shows a real passion for quality.

This place most likely serves the best cup of coffee in the twin cities. There are only a few places I would by my coffee from, and roots is one of them. Friendly staff, and amazing baristas.

The best Iced Mocha I have ever had and I am not being hyperbolic the perfect balance between the bitter coffee flavor and the sweet mocha flavoring.Very happy with it will be returning

There are so many things I love about Roots Roasting! (Granted... today was my first trip there . I ordered an iced something special latte w/soy. The espresso was smooth the sea salt flavor was promenant. I really enjoyed it. I noticed they sell Marc Heu pastries (am I spelling that right? , which are locally known for being amazing! I didn 't order any today but now I know where the hook-up is when I need carbs. Overall there was an obvious commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. I noticed compost bins, a cool reusable cup swap program, and my order was for here so it came in a glass cup. They have gender neutral bathrooms. All employees were wearing masks. Everyone was on their laptops, working or studying. My friend and I were the only ones chatting and catching up. Maybe this is more of a study place than a meet up spot? No one was rude but I did feel a little guilty hah. I thought the prices were a bit higher than other shops in the area. However, the espresso was really good and given the commitment to sustainability, I do think the extra cost is worth it. (I also did order one of the most expensive drinks on the menu. All in all, I hope to be back soon! Edited to add: the radio station playing was a bit overwhelming at times because it wasn 't just music; it was a mix of music and talk show, maybe MPR. It was distracting while having a convo and I would find it distracting while trying to work.
