Red's Savoy Pizza - Saint Paul

I really don’t understand how they can call this place Savoy. The original Savoy had the best pizza in town, but this was the complete opposite. The crust was hard and overcooked, and the sausage and pepperoni lacked flavor. There wasn’t enough sauce or cheese either. It was such a waste of $50 for two pizzas.

I decided to order a 14-inch Inferno for lunch on Tuesday and it turned out to be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The toppings were evenly spread, the cheese had a great stretch, and the crust was much better than I recalled. The giardiniera paired nicely with the mild heat of their sauce. Ordering over the phone was a breeze, and the delivery driver was incredibly friendly as well.

The pizza is always hot when it arrives and most of the deliveries have been well within the delivery time promised. Never late! Love this place!

Friendly staff abd great pizza. We got the special. Didnt know what to expect from saurkraut on pizzaa but it was delish!
