Kane's Catering - Saint Paul

I arranged a funeral luncheon with Josie, who was friendly, helpful, and answered all my questions in a professional manner. We opted for a two entree buffet. After the event, I shared my feedback with Jerry Kane, mentioning that while the chicken was moist and flavorful, the roast beef au jus was dry and tough, despite the servers' efforts to keep it in the juices. He seemed dismissive of my comment, responding that it was unusual because the beef is typically tender and juicy. I found his attitude off-putting, especially since he didn't offer an apology after I spent over $2100. Lesson learned!

The Kane's staff arrived on time, set everything up quickly, and had the food ready exactly when we needed it. They handled the setup and takedown so seamlessly that we hardly noticed they were there. If you're looking for a diverse menu, excellent food, a committed team, and outstanding service on the day of your event, you definitely should consider Kane's!

Josie was our main point of contact, guiding us through our indecision about which plated meals to choose. After a lot of deliberation, we finally settled on prime rib, walleye, chicken, and a vegan option. Chef Jerry did an incredible job preparing our favorites, and many guests commented on how delicious the walleye was! I did find a few bones in my filet, but it seemed like I was the only one with that issue—it was otherwise fantastic! The prices were very reasonable, and the timing for the salads, meals, and cake serving was efficient. Josie even came over to personally serve Scott and me and to officially congratulate us. Thank you, Kanes!

I do not have enough kind words to describe Kane's Catering. First, I have to mention that they came through for me in a pinch. I want to clarify, while it saved my behind, it is not the catalyst for this review.We were and I still am very impressed with this team. They quickly picked up on my vision. Supported, educated and assisted me toward great options which worked out perfectly. The team which came to the house were delightful, friendly, emaculate, efficient, helpful!, engaging and dedicated. Needless to say the food was wonderful and everyone who attended the party had only Great things to say. Thank you so much. You are on my go to catering list forever! Thanks again for everything! It is for good reason you have accolades!

I didn’t personally work with Kanes Catering, but I attended a friends wedding last weekend, and the chicken they served was SO PINK. Everyone at my table also had undercooked chicken. Unacceptable. I wish I took a picture.
