The Pork Belly Biscuit had a nice biscuit and decent grits, but the pork belly was a bit chewy (the smaller pieces were much better). Overall, this dish was underseasoned, although the mustard vinaigrette was fantastic. Honestly, if it had just a bit more salt and spices, it could have been excellent, but instead, it was just okay. The Vietnamese Coffee was delicious! However, the side of hash browns (which we ordered extra crispy) was not seasoned at all and lacked the desired crispiness. While the savory dishes didn't quite impress us, we didn't order any of their most popular items, so we plan to return to give it another try. The place has a wonderful mission and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the world. I really appreciate everything they’ve done to help others, especially during the pandemic, despite only opening in 2019. For instance, during our visit in October, they ran a promotion where three menu items contributed 100% of their proceeds to the American Cancer Society. This commitment alone adds an extra star to their rating. A heads-up: there are two single-stall gender-neutral bathrooms, and there was quite a line for them when we visited.
I visited this restaurant for the first time with my mother this morning. I ordered the deviled egg sandwich, which was quite good overall, although the pickled veggies sometimes overwhelmed the flavors. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it. My mother had avocado toast and said she wished the toast had been warmer. The hot chocolate and coffee were both excellent. I would definitely go back, but I recommend making a reservation unless you don’t mind sitting at the bar.
Parking was quite challenging. I anticipated some difficulty, but it turned out to be more frustrating than I expected. They removed our name from the reservation list after holding it for just 10 minutes, which is understandable. Fortunately, they still had our table available, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We chose to sit outside on one of the patios. It was quite hot, but we managed to find some shade. The food was incredibly rich—perhaps a bit too much for my taste—but the flavors were delightful. We ordered coffee drinks, an entrée each, and a dessert to share. In retrospect, we should have just split one dessert, as we ended up with a lot of leftovers. Our server was very attentive and provided thorough answers to all our questions. Overall, it’s a fun place to visit with friends!
Delicious breakfast! Mission and vision of this place is very awesome! Wasn't a fan of the **** Mary mix used (too much pepper flavor) but the rest was awesome and the servers and kitchen staff were working hard to get things out fast from the kitchen! They succeeded! They were out of sausage on a Saturday morning, but with supply chain issues at an all time high, we understoodand chose something else and enjoyed it. Great patio seating areas, but not enough shade umbrellas on the smaller tables in thesunny area. We were there early in the morning so it wasn't too hot yet. We went on the last day of summer restaurant week, soit was busy and bustling. We definitely want to go back to try other things on the menu. Cool location and a community-mindedbusiness who is making a difference! So awesome!
Went about 1 on a Sunday and there was a bit of a wait. Completely worth it. Coffee, Mimosa was delicious. Had the Hope Breakfast (classic breakfast option), and it was extremely well done. Fried chicken and waffles were transcendant. Expect tolook for parking a bit, but we loved our experience here.
