La Source - Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle

A little hotel, basic room, tasty dinner, average breakfast, very friendly staff. Good value for your money. I had B&B and dinner.

We ate here twice in summer and sat outside on the lovely terrace, where water jugs fill up from the spring that gives the Restaurant its name. The menu is outstanding value at 24.50 and the food is quite sophisticated but still traditional a great combination and not so easy to find in the Alps where the traditional food can be pretty stodgy (although you won't walk away from la Source feeling hungry! . Charming service, run by people who care.

We have barely returned from our escapade to the cottage of the source we think of a next stay. Small well crunched room, warm atmosphere and traditional savoy specialties served all homemade in the kitchen adjoining by the boss, efficient and welcoming.
