Contribuiți la feedbackThe Hotel has had a very chequered past with no one owner seeming to make a success. The Bistro has limited opening hours with many people stopping by when it is closed . The food is indifferent and expensive, The position and views need someone of vision with money to bring it back to life
Being a Sunday, we had dificulty finding a decent restaurant for lunch. Managed to get a table at the Bistrot and we were pleasantly surprised. Service was a bit slow (they were extremely busy though) but efficient and the food surprisingly good. The views over the bay are wonderful which enhanced our meal. The 3 ladies running the restaurant/bar were friendly despite trying to cope with such a full lunch service. Good value and if you are not pressed for time, worth a stop
This is a middle-range option in a beautiful location. They offer typical French dishes a good prices. The atmosphere is familiar and informal, with lots of locals. Besides the dining room, there is a good terrace facing a stunning beach. The options in the menu are not very wide, but everything is good and the portions are ok. Nice staff, although they seemed a bit overworked, as the place was really full.
Looked busy from the outside on a Sunday lunch. Menu was nicely presented on a chalk board and a selection of meat, fish and small plates. Had a seafood platter and was disappointed. as was our son with the handburger who said 'there's fish sauce on this'. of course - there wasn't. However, my fiance who is a human hoover, had one bite and said no it doesn't taste good at all! watery and bland and overpowering cheese sauce. He had steak and chips - nothing special and chewy. Daughter had fish and chips which was perfect. Wine was nice, view was nice. Just a shame that for the price, didn't match the quality.
Desperately needs updating, looks the same as it was 15 years ago but even more run down. Curtain poles but no curtains and empty hooks on the walls. I can only hope that they are in the process of refurbishment as we'd expected more from the bright new signs outside. The bar man didn't know any of the prices and seemed a little 'lost' so maybe not usual staff. Or perhaps he couldn't think straight with the heavy metal music that was playing loudly, totally unsuitable for the diners/ambiance of the restaurant. Such a shame as it has beautiful views of the bay and a lovely terrace. We decided to eat elsewhere and I'd have given it one star but for the fact that other diners said the Fruits de Mer was good.
