Carpenter Street Saloon

Wasn't sure what to expect when we poked our head in to see what it looked like inside. The bar was packed with what felt like mostly locals. A group at end of bar saw us and offered us their seats. We stayed for hours. Just chatting with locals, having some of the suggested appetizers (steamed shrimp, deep fried oysters and shrimp tacos). And then trivia night started up. We had a fantastic night! The oysters were best I've ever had. The shrimp tacos were amazing. Steamed shrimp were fresh.

Very casual and comfortable with great service and a fun, quirky atmosphere. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich and my wife loved her Ruben. It's a nice option for dinner if you want to go a bit less fancy than the other places on Talbot St. Sat at the window and watched St. Michaels go by. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
