Restaurant le Pont Creuse

This restaurant is not too far from where we live but we've never been before. We were invited by friends to join them for lunch and 10 of us sat down together. The menu has A La Carte and several set menu's at various prices so there is something for everyone. Service, food and facilities were all excellent. Situated on a lake that is temporarily drained this restaurant really needs your support until everything is returned to normal. It is run by a lovely young couple who are anxious to please. Drinks are reasonably priced too so a meal here shouldn't break the bank. We'll certainly be returning.

Not a great steak lover BUT as it was a Saturday there was a fixed menu, 18€, entrecote steak, home made frites and shallot sauce followed by three scoops of fruit ice cream, your choice, on top of a flower shaped thin biscuit dish. Steak was superb,frites definitely not from a packet. Dessert excellent. The lake is currently empty until at least the autumn, but having used the restaurant when it was filled, it is a lovely location. Lovely and helpful waitress. Definitely down for more visits.

Great , nay wonderful place to eat, slow pace of living in this beautiful part of the Vienne!!!! St Martin L'Ars a hidden gem in the micro climate of the Vienne, second sunniest place in France. Wonderful for cycle rides and observing the struggles of the French partisans during the 2nd World War.

A beautiful little restaurant on the edge of the village lake. Serving a short, simple, classic French menu. Beautifully presented food, carefully and thoughtfully cooked. Served with utter charm. And wonderful value. A restaurant worth supporting and returning to over and over. Highly recommended.
