Contribuiți la feedbackWe enjoyed an excellent meal of specially prepared ribs, on a treed terrace next to one of the pools. The staff were attentive and engaging, clearly enjoying what they were doing. Team work was definitely in evidence for virtually all aspects of the dining experience. Pablo Picasso’s Chateau, now privately owned, is located in the charming nearby village of Vauvenargues.
Outdoor terrace has heaters, overlooks a large lit pool, rustic and charming site. We will return when in the area next.
Stopped for dinner as part of a small 7-person group that has just toured Aix en Provence. Off the local highway, up a hill and then onto a dirt driveway, you could not find this place unless you'd been before. Fortunately our tour guide had, and arranged a wonderful dinner of wines, goat pattie, with a main course of roasted lamb and vegetables. Service very attentive (we were the only group in main restaurant), presentation of all dishes outstanding, and food tasted very good. A fabulous dining experience.
Location very nice and comfortable, nicely decorated, with an amazing garden. Food good, and excellent quality for price. Not super easy to order for non-French speakers, as both menu and service are in French, but with a bit of fantasy and a nice attitude everything works! Very nice for a romantic dinner, or for a dinner with family in summer, profiting of the garden.
The first review about the place being mediocre is accurate, both as to overcooked food and poor service (cold, unfriendly, inattentive), though we were the only ones in the resto for some time after our 8:00 arrival.
